Fertility & Menopause Care
in Kirkland, WA
From your first cycle tracking app to your last hot flash, your hormones shape how you feel. Dr. Jeff Kehoe combines naturopathic medicine, fertility acupuncture and bioidentical hormone therapy to support every stage of reproductive life, working alongside your OB-GYN and fertility clinic as an integrative team
Fertility Support
Whether you're trying to conceive naturally, preparing for IUI, or in the middle of an IVF cycle, care starts with a thorough look at your history, cycle, and labs. Dr. Kehoe is a Fellow of the Acupuncture & TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (FABORM) and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
Fertility acupuncture: timed to your cycle or IVF protocol, including sessions around retrieval and embryo transfer.
Preconception care: hormone and nutrient testing, thyroid and metabolic screening, and a plan for both partners.
PMOS (formerly PCOS), endometriosis and irregular cycles: root-cause care for the conditions that most often delay pregnancy.
Male fertility: semen analysis, nutrition and lifestyle plans, and acupuncture.
Stress and nervous system support: including biofeedback, because struggling to conceive can take a toll on the mind & body.
Perimenopause & Menopause Care
Perimenopause can start as early as your late 30’s, often years before periods stop. Hot flashes, poor sleep, anxiety, brain fog, weight changes, urinary changes, and low libido are common, and they are treatable.
Menopause hormone therapy (HRT/BHRT): bioidentical estradiol, progesterone and, when appropriate, testosterone, prescribed and monitored by Dr. Kehoe.
Non-hormonal options: for women who can't or prefer not to use hormones, including prescription medications, botanicals and nutraceuticals.
Acupuncture for hot flashes, sleep, and mood: which studies suggest can reduce hot flash frequency and severity for some women.
Long-term health: bone, heart and metabolic screening, because menopause is the right time to plan for the next 30 years.
Current guidance from The Menopause Society finds that for most healthy women under 60, or within 10 years of menopause, the benefits of hormone therapy for symptoms outweigh the risks. Dr. Kehoe reviews your personal and family history to decide together what's right for you.
